In April 2006 my first book, entitled "The Cowboy Trail - A Guide to Alberta's Historic Cowboy Country" was published by Brindle and Glass Publishing. Winner of the 2002 Dick Beamish Award for Press Feature by the Canadian Farm Writer's Federation. The award was for an article on rangeland fragmentation entitled "Under Siege" which appeared in the May/June 2002 issue of Alberta Views magazine. Winner of the 2001 Dateline Hong Kong Fellowship a national competition sponsored by the Canadian Association of Journalists and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office. The Fellowship allowed me to travel to Hong Kong to research and write a number of business and travel related articles which have been published in local, national and international magazines.

Prior to establishing a full-time freelance business was a Chartered Accountant and advisor to business for over 20 years working in the areas of agriculture, small business and oil and gas.
